Built to scale all private funds
AngelList is a U.S. website for fundraising and connecting startups, angel investors, and limited partners. Founded in 2010, it started as an online introduction board for tech startups that needed seed funding. Since 2015, the site allows startups to raise money from angel investors free of charge. Created by serial entrepreneur Naval Ravikant and Babak Nivi in 2010, Avlok Kohli has been leading AngelList as its CEO since 2019.
Naval Ravikant is an American entrepreneur and investor. He is the co-founder, chairman and former CEO of AngelList. He has invested early-stage in over 200 companies including Uber, FourSquare, Twitter, Wish.com, Poshmark, Postmates, Thumbtack, Notion, SnapLogic, Opendoor, Clubhouse, Stack Overflow, Bolt, OpenDNS, Yammer, and Clearview AI, with over 70 total exits and more than 10 Unicorn companies.
Avlok Kohli is the creator and founder of Fastbite, a lightening fast food delivery service. Because of Mr. Kohli’s leadership and Fastbite’s incredible value to customers, Square (led by Jack Dorsey, Founder / CEO of Twitter) acquired Fastbite a few months since launch and has since integrated it into Square's own delivery product as "Fastbite by Caviar." Avlok Kohli also plays an active role in other rapidly growing technology companies as an angel investor, advisor, and founder.
“Mr. Nivi has no role at the company” AngelList COO Graham Jenkin told TechCrunch in response to questions regarding the curious absence of the investment platform’s co-founder. It’s atypical for the creator of such a high-profile company to seemingly disappear without any form of announcement.
